Christian Education for Children and Youth
It is our prayer at St. Andrew's that our Christian Education programs will provide the opportunity for all children and young people to explore their faith tradition and formation, and how their developing relationship with God and the church is applied in their lives. Curriculum is designed for all ages and developmental stages.
Let the Children Come is geared toward 3, 4 and 5 year-olds, and focuses on the church calendar and related stories, inviting children to listen, taste, touch, move, and experience the lessons they are learning.
Godly Play is a Montessori-based program for grades 1-4; sessions involve storytelling, with time set aside for reflecting on and responding to the stories.
Making It Real and Relevant is used for grades 5-12. This Lectionary-based program is designed to address multiple learning styles by incorporating small group discussion, movie clips, current events, and a variety of interactive activities to bring Bible readings and spiritual principles to life.
