Episcopal Church Women

In all we do, our hearts are open to God's call to serve; through serving together, we find that we build strong spiritual friendships and grow in faith.

The Episcopal Church Women of St. Andrew's represents our connection to the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of the Diocese of North Carolina. Through our Diocesan officers, we are connected to the National Church and to all Church Women across the United States.

There are three ECW chapters within the larger St.Andrew's organization: Chapman Chapter, Sts. Agatha and Mary Chapter, and Donnell/St. Anne Chapter. At St. Andrew's, ECW meetings are held quarterly (March, May, September, and November).

The major thrust of ECW is service within our church, and local and statewide outreach. In all we do, our hearts are open to God's call to serve; through serving together, we find that we build strong relationships with each other and our community. The major fundraising event organized and run by ECW is the St. Andrew's Bazaar, held in November each year.

ECW also contributes to Diocesan-wide projects that assist women with education, jobs, and day care, as well as organizing the United Thank Offering twice a year. Monies raised are allocated to a wide variety of local, Diocesan, and international initiatives.

The strength of ECW is the power of women working together to support one another, St. Andrew's, and the larger community.
